When going mountain climbing
Gear that you must have:
■Backpack: It is very important that you use a backpack that does not obstruct the
  free movement of both arms.
■Raincoat: Bring a yellow or red raincoat.
■ Food: Bring food that is easy to digest, rich in nutrients, and does not spoiled
  easily.
■Drinking water: Be sure to bring lots of water, especially during summer.
■Cloth and hat: Bring a jacket for sudden bouts of cold weather. Wear hat to block
  both the sun and rain.
■Others items to bring: whistle, sunglasses, map, radio, ropes, matches, compass,
  gloves, hunting knife, and first-aid kit.

Notes:
■Get a good night’s sleep before climbing trip and have a nutritious breakfast.
■Do not go mountain climbing or hiking alone.
■Pay attention to the weather report. Avoid entering mountainous areas when the
  weather conditions are bad.
■Do warm up exercises before climbing.
■Stay on your planned route and do not leave the designated trail and enter the
  forest.
When going on a rafting trip
■Leave valuables with friends for safekeeping.
■Bring an extra set of clothes.
■Choose legal registered rafting operators who have insured their customers. Pay
  attention to the safety features demonstrated by the rafting operators to
  ensure your safety.
■Bring drinking water and sunblock. Apply the sunblock to your skin often.
  Do not bring food.
■If someone falls into the water, pull the person out by grabbing the shoulders of
  the life vest, not the person's body.
■Do not panic if you fall into the water. Do not attempt to stand in the rapids.
  Stay calm and float on your back with your feet facing downstream in order to
  avoid obstacles and trapping your feet.
When going on a bird watching trip
■Birds have very sensitive eye-sight. Therefore, wear clothes with soft colors, such
 as green, brown or colors that will blend in with the environment.
■Do not shout or speak loudly. Walk slowly and do not run or jump.
■Binocular: Used to observe birds in detail.
■Bird guide: Help to identify birds by their species and names.
■Notebooks: Record the time, location, weather and habits of different bird
 species.

When going on a camping trip
■Prepare thoroughly for your camping trip at least a week before your trip. The
  plan should include time, destination, transportation, camping equipment, food,
  clothing, cookery, allowance, and first aid kit.
■Arrive at the campsite before dark so that you can become familiar with the
  landscape and set up of the camp.
■Avoid setting up camp in a dangerous area.
■Avoid setting up camp near the waterfront to avoid bugs and high tide.
■Pay attention to the slop of the ground and the absorbability of the soil at the
  location of the campsite. Avoid camping on sandy ground or the foot of a slop
  where water can accumulate easily
■Use a grill for cooking to protect the local environment.
When fishing by the sea
■Do not fish alone, especially during early fall when the waves are most violent.
 Fish with friends so that you can look after each other and have a safe fishing trip.
■Make sure you are equipped with safety gears (Life vest, spiked shoes, and
 safety ropes) in addition to your fishing equipment.
■If you are going to fish at night, be sure to arrive at the fishing site before dark to
 become familiar with the landscape.Avoid fishing in the dangerous spots such
 as solitary rocks in the sea or away from the coast.A good choice for a fishing site
 is a tall perform where the fishermen will not be battered by waves.Also, avoid
 fishing in front of tall cliffs or rocks to prevent being washed off to sea by
 retreating waves.
■Pay attention to the weather conditions.Bad weather conditions are dangerous to
 fishermen.
■Make sure no one is standing close behind you before casting your line.
When visiting a historical site
■No smoking, chewing betel nut or littering.
■No running or shouting in the building or hallway.
■The lime walls, banisters, urns and window frames are all very old and fragile.
 Please do not shake, sit or climb on them.
■No eating in the building.
■Do not feed the animals. Do not walk on the lawn.
■Listen carefully to the tour guide, and you will enjoy a pleasant historical tour.
■No pets are allowed.
